Apply film to screen using Packing Tape trick September 9, 2010 SVE (Palo Alto, CA) All these screen protectors are tough to put on because you have to have them perfectly aligned when you put them on. And if you put them on wrong and attempt to reposition and do it again you will invariably get dust particles trapped. Things are dust-free and clean only for a few moments after you've cleaned the glass surface. The film has to be applied very quickly. So here's the assembly trick.
Clean the glass screen with Windex. Position the protective film with both top and bottom release layers still on. Center the film perfectly positioned on the iPad using the home button location and glass screen edges as visual guides. Now get some packing tape - Scotch tape style clear wide adhesive tape. Apply the tape along the home button edge of the iPad so that the tape goes from the protective film top and wraps around the bottom iPad edge and along the back of the iPad. Do this across the entire bottom iPad edge. In this way you are creating a Scotch tape "hinge" so that the cover film can be pivoted away from the screen and lowered back onto the screen while still remaining perfectly aligned. This is just like a door-on-hinges motion. You can make life a little easier for peeling off the scotch tape by folding over 1/4" part on the beginning and end of the tape strip.
Now lift the protective screen up just enough to be able to get at the bottom film cover. Peel away the bottom release film and expose the film adhesive nearest the door hinge and press the "door" down working out the bubbles and adhering the film as you peel away the film release. You will find that the screen remains perfectly aligned and the adhesive is exposed to the air for a minimum amount of time before it is stuck to the glass. Things will be aligned and only a few easy to work out air bubbles will remain. Remove the Scotch tape "hinges". Remove the top surface film release. You are done.
Good Luck!
Too many bubbles September 8, 2010 Ace123 It took me several try's to get close to prefecting the placement of this protector. Very still instructions other than top and bottom tabs. I would not recommend this product go ahead and spend more on a better screen protector for such an expensive device.
Great Customer Service September 7, 2010 G. Zelin They truly take customer satisfaction seriously and are very willing to make sure the transaction smooth and accurate. Look forward to doing business with them again.
Good screen protector for iPad September 6, 2010 J. Yoon (San Jose, CA United States) It works as advertised. Good screen protector for iPad. Cheap price, fast shipping, fine quality product.
A-OK September 6, 2010 Deborah J. Allen I bought 3 packs for 10 bucks. Mine lined up straight but it was ok to be a little bit out of line since I have the otter box for the iPad.
